Welcome back to Jesus For Today!
I want to thank everyone who has stuck with me since the start of Jesus For Today back in 2017. It’s been quite some time since the last post, and so much has happened within the sphere of my growing family. In future posts, I’m sure there will be updates about all that has gone on, but for now, I wanted to take some time to reintroduce everyone to Jesus For Today.
Our Mission: To boldly and unashamedly proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to echo God’s grace.
Jesus For Today began—and still remains—a way for me to live out that mission and ultimately fulfill the Great Commission that Jesus gave to every believer in Matthew 28:16–20. It’s also a way to answer what I believe to be one of Jesus’ most striking questions: “…but who do you say that I am?” (Matthew 16:15). I submit my will to the Father’s in order to accurately and faithfully convey that answer to you in the posts to come.
As you may have noticed, the title of this post isn’t “Welcome Back,” but rather an introduction to our upcoming deep dive: a 21-week study through the Gospel according to John. I believe this is a fitting place to begin as we seek to answer Christ’s question, “…but who do you say that I am?” The book of John reveals seven key declarations Jesus made about His divinity.
Week 1 of our study on John will be posted Monday, March 2nd, and each subsequent post in the series will be released every Monday at 8:00 a.m. until the last week on July 27th.
Throughout the rest of the week, there will also be other unscheduled posts such as devotionals, life updates, and other messages we feel led to share. We would love to hear from you—whether in the comments or through our inbox—so feel free to send us your feedback!
If you haven’t already, be sure to subscribe and share Jesus For Today with your friends and family.
